A week or so ago I decided to make myself a graphics journal. Noticing that I've been making more and more friends-only posts recently and having a too-big to handle F-list convinced me to make a separate journal for my graphics.

It was really fun going back through all my posts and seeing how things have changed, thankfully, for the better. It also gave me a chance to think about what techniques I want to work more on for future posts. *We're Jam Hot!*

I think the biggest progression in your icons would be sharpening. Your icons are now clearer and smoother. Also the cropping is much better. I also like that before you used a bit "pink" coloring and moved to more "natural looking" which I recently fell in love with...I also fell for b&w icons recently so it's great to hear that you're making more and more b&w icons.

But I didn't know you made SPN icons *head -> desk* I'm so going to chceck your tags again *handpalm*

I definitely love coloring that's natural looking and black and white icons rock.

I have made SPN icons. there's not too many batches but I plan on making more someday (there's too many things to icon and not enough time).

Actually I have to admit that I friended you because of your icons, but now I really enjoy reading the other posts, too, although I don't always have an answer to them ;)

I think most of my f-list friended me for my graphics though I'm glad everyone's stuck around for the other posts. As far as not knowing how to answer posts, I'm totally that way too. I try to read every post on my f-list but my brain is frequently on vacation and can't think of how to comment. :)

Thanks! My first posts weren't terrible if only because I'd already been using Photoshop (making larger graphics) for some time before I started making icons. I've also never posted any icons from my first few months making because I'd be too embarrassed by them. :)

It's interesting to see your progression. I noticed that a lot of your more recent ones are simpler, more crisp, and the colours stand out.
