I have actually gotten a good look at the amount of information I will have to learn about on my own to really excel and it's equal parts terrifying and stimulating, which hopefully is a good thing - well, right after this initial paralysis wears off.

Current believe that the general public is not familiar with the scientific method or how funding works, and that is why they are quick to back conspiracy theories and point fingers of blame. Today I ran in the thunderstorm to submit a photo of my ID for paperwork. Ran to the bank to make it there in the last five minutes they were open so they can open an account because its mandatory direct deposit for campus jobs. I'm trying to decide if I want to work 60+ hours this summer, even for just a little while. Here I shall compose a list of things that cost money that I need to do and then see if working that much at the price of a summer of my life will be worth its weight in monies. I am here because Half Life 2 is making me very angry again. I worked all by myself in the lab today, aka i was texting my PI consistently. I opened a box of tips outside of the hood which means they'll have to be re-autoclaved but other than that I did marginally well.
