Day 6: Whatever Will Float my Boat.
RELATIONSHIPS (it's been bugging me and I'm a girl. Enjoy.):
So. I'm honestly and completely idiotic when it comes to dating/boys. Really, a guy has to blatantly hit on me to get me to understand he's interested. So for those of you who have had relationship success--or at least have more insight into the male brain than I do, HALP. Or, y'know, just laugh at me. :P lol
All right. Last Thursday, I went on a date with this guy I had met at a party the previous Friday. Neither of us were drunk at said shindig, but, I mean, it was dark there and quite different than meeting, say, in a grocery store, you know? He ended up asking for my number after I had flirted with him for quite awhile that night--what? He's a cutie--and I gave it to him, he kissed me goodnight, and I skipped went my way for the night (namely, took my drunk friend home. Yay...).
From Friday til Wednesday, we texted on and off...once we did get into a three hour-long texting/flirting marathon (while he was at work, haha.). Wednesday night, he calls me from his home and says his cell's dead for an inexplicable reason. That's understandable, as stuff happens and all.
Thursday rolls around, he picks me up at my place, and we go to lunch at a cute bitty restaurant in town. It was really laid-back and the conversation flowed really well; who would've thought I'd have found someone with a similar dislike for onions? All in all, we seemed to have gotten along super well. So after lunch, he drives me back and tells me that he had a good time and when I get back from break, to call him. We hug and I get out, wave, and he drives off.
Now, I can't get a reading on this guy. He seemed to have a good time and we talked easily, but I just got a "lukewarm" reading off of him--he hasn't called since and I don't know if the convo was good because we're both chatty or because we really did click. IDK. I've texted him once, to say Happy Holidays and see if his phone was working again, but no answer and I haven't been ballsy enough to call him AT HIS HOME.
I kinda like the guy, I really do, and if nothing else, he's the kind of guy you wanna be friends with--hello half-Puerto Rican bartender. :) But if he's not interested, then is it worth it to pursue anything?
Insight, anyone?
