I always thought it would be interesting to have a lapdance, preferably from someone with a Y-chromosome, of course.
Think of it this way: this Zach guy, he's a boy, yes? So either he'll expect your father was joking and laugh about it, or else he'll feel sorry for you, or else he'll think your dad is cool. Boys are nice that way, they're much less judgemental than girls.
Best thing to do is just roll with the punches, and ignore your father's comments. Sometimes people don't realize how much their insults hurt, and sometimes they don't believe you when you tell them. Better you should grow up with one and develope a thick skin than grow up with someone who dotes on you, because you'll most likely encounter others like him, and now you'll know how to deal with it.
My family used to say things all the time about me being fat, and how I should lose weight... it was annoying. But you know what? Their hurtful comments didn't make me feel better, to lose weight. No, they actually made me eat more. It was only when I took the initiative (later on) did things change for me... I didn't listen to anyone (about losing weight) except for myself.
I don't think anyone should tell you to lose weight unless it's absolutely necessary (and really, only doctors are the ones to tell you that, I think). If you try to eat the best you can, and try to be active as much as possible, then that's a good enough reason for anyone, I think. (I don't know if you know this already, but people that are on the small are not necessarily any healthier than people that aren't -- I've read this before in all sorts of things. So, just try your best, and that should suffice.) ♥
