Okay, we all know how much I love the Nolan Batfilms. I am beyond stoked for The Dark Knight Rises and beyond grateful for the ways in which Batman's film incarnation has been redeemed over the past few years

GASP! I hadn't heard about this yet! Thank you for posting/gushing! And I couldn't agree more with you on the awesomeness that is the luck we've had in having the same heart and soul behind the production of Batman for so long. I would be so happy if Marvel came across a team that was even remotely close to being in the same ballpark as far as talent and know-how goes. OH, and did I mention those pics look absolutely amazing?
I just checked out the intro to Batman/Superman Adventures and I'm ashamed to say I'd never seen it before. I was all about the Batman and Batman & Robin animated series, and have seen a few Superman episodes, but have never seen this show. I need to check into that sometime. I did, however, see the crossover episode where Superman stood in for Batman (wore the cape and cowl and everything) and beat the crap out of a very surprised Bane, and I still love it. : )
Ah! Don't worry, the Batman/Superman Adventures wasn't a different show; it was just Batman: The Animated Series and Superman: The Animated Series shown back to back, haha. The fact that you didn't know it by that name just means you were watching it long before me! ;]
I do remember that crossover ep! Those were always so much fun. It was epic times for my younger self. It's so nice to have both versions of Batman still going strong - in the animated and live-action realms. But the amount of continuity animated Bats has going for him gives him a bit of an edge, in my book. Just a bit! And the nostalgia, I guess.
Glad somebody else is looking forward to this as much as I am. :D
Oh, okay. That makes sense. Hey, wait a minute! Are you calling me old? I think you're calling me old! ; )
I agree. As much as I like the current run of Batman live-action films, I enjoy the animated ones more and the continuity within does have something to do with that.
Ugh, now I'm pining for some animated Batman, which I was thinking I didn't have any of, but just remembered I own the complete Beyond series on DVD. Still, I'm really in the mood for Batman of the non Beyond variety. Maybe Netflix will have something in their instant viewing library.
