Good to hear from you! I'm glad you're loving your new location and your new job. Getting to work from home once a week is awesome! I can only do it once a month.
Yours is the second glowing review of Divergent I've seen, though I've also seen one not-so-glowing review from someone whose opinions I respect, so I am torn.
Divergent is certainly not immune to criticism; the world and the premise are kind of hard to swallow overall (despite being interesting theoretically), but I'm hoping both see more development in the sequel.
What I loved most was the heroine. She had a very tangible character arc, and despite the fact that she routinely made choices I disagreed with, they were not beyond empathy. In the end, she became someone I actually looked up to.
I'd be curious to know what you think, if you ever get around to it!
Awesome! Having your own place is definitely a new kind of freedom. Congrats. And I fully endorse your possible PS3 purchase! Especially since Sony just dropped the price again - you can pick up a brand new system for $250 now. It's an excellent Blu-ray player and has the best exclusive game titles of any console... if I sound like a commercial, pardon me. Haha.
Yeah, a good TV really makes a difference. We had a crappy one for awhile and still enjoyed gaming on it, but when we got a proper flatscreen we were almost blinded by how gorgeous everything was. Our Blu-ray collection is a little overwhelming right now; I think we have almost 80 of 'em!
You know, I never did get a chance to play the original Deus Ex - I tried to pick it up before Human Revolution came out, but it requires an older Mac environment to run, and there's no way to download a modded copy for the PS3 or 360. Luckily, Human Revolution is a prequel, so prior knowledge isn't really necessary... but still! I've heard so much about the original

Ha! Well, on the off chance you like it, waiting means you at least won't have to be patient for the sequel to come out. Which is personally driving me mad.

And yes. Sci-fi just needs to take over EVERYTHING and the world would be a better place.
