So. A year ago today we carted everything we own up three flights of stairs and moved into our very cozy one-bedroom apartment here in metro Denver. Life at 5,280 feet has been good to us so far. They used to be super-industrial and dark, but now they're all melodic and EBM (for the most part). I love "Further," but it's technically a b-side. I was introduced to VNV through songs like "Carbon" and "Epicentre" (Luke and I danced to the latter at our wedding, HAHA). Some newer tracks that are pretty accessible are "Tomorrow Never Comes" and "The Farthest Star". I just adore Ronan's lyrics, and the whole philosophy of the band (VNV = Victory Not Vengeance).

The game and the show both sound like they were fantastic. Glad you had such a great time!

Ah, I'm glad you guys are doing so well and I hope the rest of your Holidays continue on that path. : )

Yeah, now that Christmas is upon us I've been listening to a lot of Vince Guaraldi Trio, Johnny Cash, Dean Martin, et al - it's just the mood I like to set around this time of year.
Apart from that, I'm still abusing the new Mute Math and VNV Nation albums (of course), with a more conservative amount of My Brightest Diamond thrown in for good measure. :] What about you?

I was in a big mainstream r&b and hip-hop mood for a couple of weeks, but I shifted to electronic and industrial rock yesterday morning and have been feeling it ever since. This morning, I've been listening to KMFDM and their song, "Anarchy" (below), in particular. If you've been in a VNV kind of mood, you might enjoy it. : )
