I suppose I should update, now that it's 2012 and all. The new year has kicked off rather well. I'm writing every day, working on my hilariously out-of-shape body, eating decently, reading lots, and basically doing all those things I usually kick ass at in early January and then slack off with later in the year ( Read more... )

Ha, I will! I'm determined to AT LEAST get through the ones I mentioned - hopefully more. (Right now, I'm actually reading the unabridged Les Misérables for the first time. Daunting but awesome.)

Yeah, I stayed away from TVD for a long time because it seems so cliché, and I thought I was tired of vampires. But once you get past the lame first half of S1, it takes off and develops its own identity. And I love the mythology they've built up in S2-S3.
