The Village

I really love this movie, as well as all of M. Night Shyamalan's films. He's an amazing storyteller. I've got 12 icons and 2 desktop wallpapers for "The Village" in this post. As usual, please comment and credit. I'd really like some feedback on the walls because I hardly ever make those and I don't really know what everyone likes, so... please ( Read more... )

I love 5 and 12 of the icons. and the colouring on 8 is beautiful.
I think I like the second wallpaper better but they're both really cool. I like your use of reflection in the first one.

thank you - I love him and The Village (adored Lady in the Water) and all my friends think I'm weird and that his movies are hopelessly boring.

Yet another thing we have in common (our list is growing too long for comfort ;) )

Hopelessly boring?! Agh! I don't mean to criticize your friends, but... they're insane. ;)

No, I saw it sometime last year on cable. My brother just now bought the DVD, so it put me into the icon-making mood. :)

I know! Isn't it great? It was made by sawyer.

Eep! I thought I was the only icon-maker remotely interested in The Village! It's great to know I'm not :D Gosh, I love the film too; the use of long shots, and music only when it's an intense emotional moment is just fantastic. It's almost like watching an elaborate play. So great! :D
Anyhoo, I love these icons! I've snagged 2 and 9, and I'll credit you when I use them. I remember when I first iconed this film (back in my beginner days :P) I used pretty bad quality caps; do you mind if I ask where you got the ones for these? Cos they look really nice and clear :)
Anyway, nice work!

His movies always seem so personal to me. Every scene is filmed in such a beautiful way, it's like poetry. I also really love the music. My brother just bought the soundtracks for Signs, The Village, and Lady in the Water. They're all just gorgeous.

Thank you very much! I'm glad that you like them. :)
I got the caps from inadream_caps, and they are excellent quality.
