we're staying here at our house. i hope the hurricane isn't too bad because there's no way we can get out of here. it's way too bad with the traffic and heat. i guess we'll be hanging out in our harry potter room under the stairs.

Didn't mean to sound rude earlier but dang it is crazy that you guys are staying there. You should have left a long time ago like I was trying to tell you. But I understand you want to be with your family. I just hope that nothing happens to you like all those people in Louisanna. That's why I think people are crazy because eveyone got so upset at the devestation of Katrina and now you guys are doing the same thing as them...staying and riding it out.
True, but if they had tried to evacuate, they would have run the risk of still being on the freeway somewhere when Rita tears through. At least they're in a sturdy house, with a Harry Potter room, and each other.
Oh, and it helps that Dayton is above sea level as well. Not to say that there's no risk of devastation, but at least you guys have that much. Please stay safe!
the hurricane keeps slowing down and moving east, so i'm sure we'll be fine. and yes, if we would have left we might have gotten stuck in the middle of the freeway or ran out of gas. our house is double-bricked and very sturdy. i'm sure we'll be fine.
