And when I turned around, a maze had formed.

Hahah, that happened at my new job a couple days after I started. It was a big open room with desks, but my dual-monitor setup kind of hid me from everyone unless I leaned to the side and looked around them, so I was cool with that. Then they brought in the cube-pieces, and while I was on lunch, the ones in front of my desk were set up, so I sat back down and got to work while they assembled the ones on the side and so on...

Then when I got up for break, I went around the side and went "...Whoa!" I hadn't seen all the other cubes being put up, and suddenly I was in a maze. XD

(And I did hang Christmas lights. Appropriate to my job, in fact.)

haha most excellent lights.

we have made a somewhat grave error with our new cubes in that we didn't plan ahead of time how to access all the wall outlets and jacks that the cubes are now covering. (i.e plug in cords and thread them through during the assembly) so now we're scratching our heads about how to plug in power strips and phones.

I foresee some heavy lifting in our future as we shift the whole section of cubes forward in order to send our scrawniest fellow over the wall to reach the outlets and then haul him back again. Which will either be hugely entertaining, or a workmans'comp claim in the making. Or, knowing us, a little of both.
