MC Chris IS the shit! I love "Fett's Vette," and some of MC Paul Barman's stuff is pretty good too (particularly the tracks he's done with MF Doom) but like you mentioned in your post- I just can't get into most "nerdcore hip-hop." I don't like the whole self-aware, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, "we're in on the joke too!" vibe that sort of music usually reeks of.

oh no...LOL I see a future nerdcore rapper. maybe.
Wierd Al's " White and Nerdy" -whole diffrent story-however I have heard some nerdcore that sounds like that- BUT THEY ARE SERIOUS RAPPERS! like vanilla ice- but procaming themselves nerdy everyother word instead of 'cool as ice' -beware- if it becomes big( which I doubt) you might want to lock up you husband's radio for the next few years.seriously.

LOl i totally will. it's scary enough to hear him sing. :) he tries though, i'll give him that!
but at least he likes decent rap.
I hope he doesn't secretly play Vanilla Ice when i'm at work and damage our daughter's brain!
there's this show on VH1 - the White Rapper show - it's hosted by MC SERCH fro 3rd Bass..it's pretty funny.

LOL your husband sounds pretty cool. Just tell him to cool it w. the Vanilla. seeing him once a week on " the surreal life" should be enough. Maybe you should check his c.d collection to make sure there is no vanilla.(j/k) That is all we need. Future generations growing up with vanilla.
no I haven't checked out that show yet.3rd bass was good white rap back in the day though. what is up with all these VHI reality sleeze shows? I did like the flavor flav one they had though.

I love 'Boba Feat' but unlike the other so called 'nerd-core'rappers Chris has appeal and lyrical skills. M.C Frountalot just gets by off his nerdom. That guy SUCKS!!! I Was trying to find a M.C Chris C.D but could'nt that 'Boba' song is stuck in my head right now. Thanks a lot!
you know your music has to bite when you are backing it up with a gimmick- also not all so-called 'nerdy' (why that word? that label?) people sport thick glasses and play D&D and go to every comic con and like 'lord of the rings' and 'star wars' and play dance dance revolution. Now I know it's a trend. Like when 3,000 people came to my high school talking about graveyeards,marliyn manson, cutting,self-loating,and sporting a black trench coat.(this was in the 90's)

LOL when your daughter gets older you can even add her to livejournal-- the family that blogs together umm...anyways.. yeah VH1 needs to stop it with thier c-list and d-list celeb reality shows! they are ruining my social life!(j/k) but seriouly celebrity fit club is a trip... the last season I saw was when cher's daughter was on-- I think those people think they are making some sort of a comeback by emmbarrising themseveles for our enertainment- does make for good T.V.
