the other day at the comic book store I baught aline kominsky crumb's new book "need more love": we need to give this woman more love as and underground comic artist in her own right . Even if she wasn't married to R. her work , unlike many underground male artist ( I am saying this though as a woman) is still true to life , not outdated, and funny

how funny you mention Aline. i was reading about the book the otheer day and was going to ask you if you read it yet :) She's one of my heroes, and she reminds me so much of myself. she's the same age as my mom and they were both born on Long Island :)i'm glad you posted this because now i can't wait to read it . i'm going to have to get it tonight.

"Twisted Sisters" was one of the first comic compilationsi ever read. so many great ladies in there!!!

Do you read Strangers In Paradise?

It is funny that you said that because I remember how you said when you worked in a comic book store you read terry moore and when I was in there the other day I was standing right in front of the "strangers in paradise"
series but I was reluctant to buy an issue because I usually am at first when it comes to reading a new artist. So that series is good? I heard somewhere eles it was too...I will now have to check it out.
aline is so cool:) I'm glad somebody eles on here likes her and has read"twisted sisters'.That comic had so many cool female comic artist in it like my all time faves phoebe glocekner and diane nooman. " need more love is kinda expensive but I haven't even gotten through all of it yet and I baught It 2 days ago!
