Ha! Ya know, if it were me (I were captain douchebag) I would have said "ok yeah, I keep reading these books and I have a hard time with them. How did you learn? Could you please teach me?" and then ask you to read my palm and show me. Or possibly admit that I wanted to hold your hand and was really nervous.

Ha! See, that would have been an excellent approach--and you sir, have never been sleazy. Capt. D-bag is possibly one of the smarmiest individuals I have ever met, and my amusement over this incident is based on multiple sleazy conversations with him--were he just a shy guy trying to get some affection, I might be sympathetic.
