Must say that Erasmus and Ris both came out of that looking good in their way (ok, admittedly not to Caine!). Good show old chaps! And Gerard... damn. Don't break the Commander of the Hounds. It can take hundreds of years to find good help.

Gerard screwed you. :) The whole reason Ris got Gerard as his champion was to keep Caine off your back. But then Gerard set the scene up such that you get stuck with Caine anyway!
But he screwed me, too. My poor, aching jaw.. :)

In retrospect, Erasmus, I realize that we actually had a golden opportunity to do a compare and show that Consequences are way more interesting than some people might realize. For instance, Gerard's goal was to incapacitate Erasmus painlessly (relatively). Erasmus's goal was to not flinch and bravely take the strike (thus relating to his oaths and his role as a true believer).
I mean, we we were both in agreement, I think, that both of those things would happen. But when you look at those stakes, you see a beautiful example of desired consequences that are very different from 'I STAB YOU AND WIN!' And that's just fantastic.
