Character Note
Just some insight made about my character, nothing loggy.
Now, I'm not up on Arthurian legend, but after a recent scene and a need to ponder the events as they relate to some tricky parts of Erasmus Psychology, I suddenly realized that he's Sir Gawain. Realized, rather, only in 'hmm, this sounds familiar' and looking up some info on that legend. Maybe I'm the last person to see the parallels, but hey!
I guess it was subconscious, considering some things, like the pick of green for the LJ page (Amber, natch, but also Green Knight), and a whole slew of the values the character holds and some recent internal conflicts regards loyalty and duty versus human needs. The duels (one done, one coming!) are along the lines of taking the Green Knight's challenge to Arthur's Knights. Etc. I'm hesitant to actually read the work now, to avoid shadowing it more. :P
