My visit to Austin was great.  I missed all of you guys a lot.  I'm sorry I gave little/no forewarning.  I really liked galaxy cafe.  I'm gonna have to get that strawberry shortcake when I come back.  That was really good when I tasted Becky's

Eric, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. I had no idea he had cancer...what kind? My Dad was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, and will have surgery in October to remove his prostate (and hopefully get all of it). So, the prognosis is very good (is prognosis even the right word?! heh.) I can't image facing the inevitability of death of someone in my immediate family. Maybe that means I'm in denial that it could potentially be a very bad thing...maybe we all deal with hardship in different ways. I know you can't possibly "feel less" than anyone else in this world. If you need someone to talk to, you know where to find me.

Sometimes you feel so strongly about something, your body shuts down and uses a defense mechanism to protect yourself (the not shedding physical tears).
