Bank holiday weekend

Right, it's another bank holiday and although it's the gathering weekend as we don't have the money for me to go we are doing another movie marathon. This one shall be a little less intense as we are changing from a series of films to a theme so less pressure to get through so many. The themes we have in mind are

Nuclear War! Let's watch films with fallout, survivalism, mutants, desolation and the end of civilisation!

Or how about dystopian visions of the Future? That should cheer us all up...

I was trying for a more cheerful day. Not to mention I don't have a huge number of such depressing films. And I couldn't bare to hear people recite the words to Blade Runner and debate which is the best version :)

OK then, how about a theme of 'Movies based on popular comic strip characters'? We could watch Judge Dredd, Constantine, V for Vendetta *runs for the door giggling manically*

Seriously though: horror's good for me, as are period films. Providing the theme isn't 'heartwarming family comedy with Robin Williams' I'm cool :o)

Don't worry, there won't be any heart warming family stories. If Robin Williams appears at all it will be in One Hour Photo,which is a film about the family I suppose...

I'm up for this, having decided against going to the Gathering this year. I'm really up for anything except horror, which I'm not to keen on.
