ALikeyStory Nyzul Rules!

I'm very strongly considering writing an all-pupose guide to success in Nyzul Isle Investiagion, as I feel I am qualified to write such a guide. While I was working on it I realized that a lot of the success in Nyzul Isle is based on agreed-upon rules between the members. Pickup groups can just wing it, but when the going gets tough, having ( Read more... )

I... love... you.

Gunna use this with my Nyzul static - if i could add a rule to it tho?

This isn't dynamis - know how to play yer job or gtfo.

...95 percent of pickup people are total morons on carbuncle - when we get good people that we make great progress on then they vanish... might as well just shout for scholars and tanks this weekend...

"The bulk of the anti-lootwhore policy is based on courtesy and respect. Members are asked to pass items, even if they can equip them, if the item is for a job that they don’t really like much or play very often anymore and the other member really likes that job and/or has a major interest in the item. As ALikelyStory is built upon a group of friends, this shouldn’t be too much of a problem, but if someone is getting carried away with lotting things that it is obvious they don’t plan on using over people that would, they may be asked to pass or, if they persist, asked to leave the group ( ... )

Short response: yes

Longer response: very yes. My dynamis shell does the same thing. People above level 65 have priority on free lots, but below that it's toally free to anyone. We have one or two regular lootwhores that take any and every free drop even though they clearly have no intention of leveling it. It annoys me to see them take items from people I know are getting close to level 65 but don't have priority over the level 1s yet.

Also, with Nyzul, my group was doing the same thing until about two weeks ago. We were always trying to fill that 6th spot. We got a lot of very nice people to help us on runs when the regulars blew us off, but they were totally inexperienced with nyzul and so it's always a bit tense. Thankfully, as of about last week, the group now consists of 6 dedicated members and I've managed to pretty much boot out the inconsistant ones for good.
