OPEN FIRE!

I’m slowly coming to the conclusion that everyone in the entire world reads, or at least at one time has read, Ereblog. People keep saying stuff like “hey congrats on getting this item” or “sorry to hear such and such did that one thing” and I’m thinking “Thanks and yeah, but how the hell do you even know about that?” and of course they read it in ( Read more... )

cor, axi, blogging, mmm

Regarding Luzaf's ring, I did it the following way. I had to rows of roll macros in total. In the middle of one row there was a slot which had Luzaf's ring macroed in, plus Double Up command. Same slot of another row had nearly identical macro, with the exception that some other, non-Luzaf's ring was being equipped there. And that's pretty much about it. Might not be the most efficient way to handle this, but worked okay for me.

Hmm. Better than my current (awful) idea of creating two books, one with the macros using Luzaf and one without.

Thanks for the tip.

Aye, generally the most use you'll get from Luf ring is on COR roll, or Evoker's. The range boost makes it impractical for melee specific songs (DRK, RNG ect) as well as for mage songs in a non-mage only party. I actually only have it macro'd in for COR roll and simply make a macro on the fly if I ever need it for more than that (aka if I'm leeching in a BLM burn ect)

You know that one website with the "Lord Erecia" thing is a random argument/insult generator, right? It changes every time you view it, and the bottom of the page has a link that explains it. ^^;

It was kind of hard to notice, but duly noted. :P

Hmmm... on line with macros I need to ask... Do you have haste/utsusemi macroes for any of your jobs? I tried making one where I equiped my haste gear then cast the spell, but it turned out disasterously for me. I tried using it when soloing Univited Guests but it would either take much longer than I would have liked to work or just plain not go off at all, leaving me frantically jamming Control + M so I could do it manually. Barely won with 86 HP left with the mammet rampaging in sword form but my lovely new macro made that fight way more stressful than it should have been. Any advice?

I use Spellcast for handling my gear swaps and my rules regarding Luzaf's Ring are basically...

If Roll = Corsair's Roll
Equip it

And I also have it setup so I can say "Hey I'm in Dynamis/Limbus/another zone where people tend not to stay together" and it'll equip Luzaf's Ring for all of my rolls. <3 Spellcast.

Glad to see you're liking COR by the way! I had so much fun leveling the job, partially since it was my first job that could deal some damage (my first job was RDM). Wait till you get Slug Shot. :)

RE: Luzaf's Ring, I try to drive all my macros off one row in the same palette. So I incorporate Luzaf's Ring into that... I have two Phantom Roll macros on my main row, each of them takes me to an entirely separate row where I have all my actual rolls along with a return command to take me back to the main row where I can Double-Up or whatever from there.

The difference between the 2 Phantom Roll macros is that I swap in Luzaf's Ring for one of them while the other does not.
