My group is almost done with the drops we originally committed to and I've really enjoyed it but I am looking forward to trying something else for a while. I'm not sure Salvage is going to be as much fun as our weekly 6 man conference call on skype but I think a year of working together will make Salvage a lot easier.
Salvage can be fun in its own way, but it's far more repetitious. In Salvage, absolutely everything in a run is the same. In Nyzul, nothing is. It's having to keep adapting to the unknown that's kept my interest this past year.
The upside, of course, is that Salvage gear is far better. Plus you can sell Alexs for money.
Hihi, This Kelix - I forgot to tell you all that my brother was getting married last Sat. and our trip on friday was 6hrs long and i forgot my laptop so i couldn't make it this past Friday night or even tell kisa which i usually do- Kisana or Ere remind me to give you my cell number for a quick text about stuff. I will be there tomorrow night ^^
No harm, no foul. You've been so consistent this past year-ish that for you to miss even one was a bit jarring. I'll talk to you on game to exchange cells.
"in the past two weeks we’ve had a timeout and a wipe. Unacceptable."
You're being a tad hard on yourself (not to mention your group), no? Two weeks, I assume about 8 individual runs, and you lost two. Taking the quote as it is, it sounds rather...elitist, somehow? Taking the standards you are used to, with a team of 6 players who know Nyzul well, and expecting a group of 3 people who don't know it and three who do to meet them is unrealistic, and perhaps unfair.
The symptoms behind your group's decline are most certainly a problem (my Nyzul group died for a similar reason of lack of people). I empathise with that. But if it comes down to a choice between a less consistent group and no group at all, surely the former is better?
The choice is between a less consistent group now or a more consistent group eventually. I'd rather hold out so we can do things better than claw and struggle for subpar results. If that's elitist, well, I'm okay with that.
For one, how quickly I am forgotten! BRD & RNG 17-52! /sigh... kinda makes me sad.
As for Nyzul... bout all I can say is sorry... You know Nyzul was one event I always liked, especially after missing a week and everyone missing me being there on SAM making everything just die, ah the memories.
... And damn again...! I just noticed the mule character! OMG! That is Kris, I dunno if you picked that Taru for any reason at all due to me, which I HIGHLY doubt, but if you do recall, is my favorite female taru model. Good choice!
