Well, apparently some people who applied for the program last year got deferred, and in the last 24 hours they filled up the spots from the program. So my application is on hold until either: a) someone withdraws from the program (unlikely?) or b) next year

The application decision could be resolved as late as Thursday night when people show up for class and realize that they're in over their heads. There are always last minute drops.

For what it's worth, I actually said something to the program director about how I wish they hadn't encouraged you to apply and pay the fees so late if they weren't prepared to admit you. I also talked to her about the letter of recommendation and she told me to not worry about it. You're a good candidate and you're in if there's a spot for you.

PS: Don't bother with Cowboys and Aliens :( There wasn't even a satisfying number of explosions to offset the terrible attempt at plot.

Well I'll see if I can find the course sheet and maybe try showing up to the first week of classes
