Operation: Grits

This morning, I attempted to make cheese grits, and was moderately successful.

I at first took the endeavor to be a complete failure. As I was cooking it, the concoction was lumpy and unappetizing, and not gritty at all. But I managed to break down the lumps small enough that I could easily mistake the lumpiness for grittiness. And it was quite ( Read more... )

the trick for non-lumpy grits is to keep the heat low and stir continually (with a wisk!!) :)

it's going... i have been so busy. the exciting part is that i only have student teaching left in the fall and then I GRADUATE!!!! :) I can't wait. I'm taking some summer classes and working. And that's about it! You seem to be well! :) I'll try to give you a call sometime, we need to catch up!

I only have a little left, too. I just dropped my summer classes to concentrate on some papers, so I think it's going to be the spring before I graduate, but that shouldn't affect my grad school applications. I hope to hear from you soon.
