It's true, that book was AWESOME, as is vivwiley. :-)
If you see the movie, I'm curious what you think. I'm kind of afraid to see the movie because the book was such a joy (in a really twisted, scary sort of way *g*).
I do want to see it -- but as I never see anything in the theater anymore, I'll likely wait until DVD. By then I won't be so invested in the story and any liberties or screw-ups won't offend me so much!
Maddy has a thank-you for you; she berated me the other day for not having sent it yet. "Mom! Are you EVER going to mail that????!!!" She's a mini-Ms. Manners. *g*
Shutter Island has been in my "to read mountain" (we're *way* past mere piles at this point) forever. Looks like I need to dig it out. Of course, depending on its position in the various strata, moving it may cause a structural fault line in the mountain, but what's life without a little risk?
Did you get a package of books for Maddy from me a little while ago? Just hoping they got there and were at least mostly appropriate ;-)
Hope your week stops sucking and blowing. I'm winding up my staycation week and dreading going back to work on Monday. ::sigh:: when is one of us going to win the lottery?
well, I picked it up at about 9:30 this morning and just finished it. There are quite a couple twists, but I'm reasonably sure I do know what happened. And, as he will sometimes, Lehane will rip your heart out. I'd be happy to talk with Ms. S about it.
OooooI want to read that so much!!! I've been a Lehane fan since...well, you know since. ::sigh:: Patrick and Angie...and of course, you know he wrote for The Wire, righttttt??????????whichyouneedtowatch...
I am not reading anything other than textbooks and children's literature that can be used as read-alouds these days. I miss reading!

Suzanne is yelling at me to read SI, so we can discuss it. So, you know, maybe youse can talk? She seems unsure of what, exactly, happened.
