That's awesome that all these years later, that post still has traction and resonance.

It was 2006 so it may not have been XF at the time, but she is an old-school XFiler for sure.

I was talking to jesshelga a few weeks about XF; she was much younger then so wasn't online or a part of fandom, and had no idea that everything that goes on now in fandom -- the crazy and the great -- all happened there too. I was trying to explain that that is why I just can't get riled up about fandom insanity anymore; I've seen it all, I've done it all, and nothing has made me as passionate since.
