Mattel Apologizes to China for Toy Recalls

BEIJING (Sept. 21) - U.S.-based toy giant Mattel issued an extraordinary apology to China on Friday over the recall of Chinese-made toys, taking the blame for design flaws and saying it had recalled more lead-tainted toys than justified.

I've got to agree with you about the bottom line being the bottom line. Unless it happens to be their pet poodle who bit the dust because his kibble was spiked with melamine or their kid with brain damage because he ate half a ton of lead paint, people don't really care about safety or quality. It's all about price ( ... )
