from my point of observation, it feels like a great weight has been lifted and the energy that eminates from your writing feels much nicer. Definitely more relaxed and free from having to beat around the bush.
Our Manitoba Maple out back went the most brilliant shade or crimson over the last week, then it seemed as though all the leaves fell off at once. *sigh Now it's a giant twig sticking out of the ground, bare until the spring.
But it will look very nice if you get any snow. I wish my trees would do the same, but so far only the rowans have turned; the elm, the Russian olive, and the shrubs are still assorted shades of green. Of course, I don't really expect the elm to drop its leaves until next spring... at the same time as it releases 10,000,000 seeds, all of which will germinate and try to grow.
And yes, it's nice to be done with that place. There was no crash this time around, no anxiety, just relief.
