I wouldn't say that it was depressing, because I think that it has a real sense of hope in it. Erik can decide to go or stay, but-idk, I'm just satisfied that whatever decision he made, Erik made it knowingly and not in a blind rage or something. He's just always so angry. :-/

i know! through out the movie, i was like, gosh ppl, just get a room already. the scene where charles sees magneto's memories was what made me a shipper. and the ending,of course.
