I'm sorry...

I apologize for seeming to fall off of the planet for the last month. Knowing that my friends don't actually require an explanation, I still wanted to offer some small part of the reason I've not been on my email, live journal, and most days barely there for my gaming friends.

It's so good to hear from you but at the same time I am so sorry to hear you are going trough such a rough time. I do remember you've asked us before to think about your mum, so I'm sad to hear her health continued to decline. I can imagine you are exhausted because of both the physical and emotional toll and the heath on top of that. At the same time I am also happy you share all this with us. And also happy your son is doing better. And I am glad you are able to care for your mum, since I hope this will be meaningful to you, both now and later. I'll send you some good vibes. And I hope you are able to care for yourself as well in between everything you are doing for others. Do take care!

You never owe an explanation for your absence, but I will be the first to say that I always appreciate periodic check ins, even if it’s just dropping a line or two just so we know you’re still standing. I worry when people go missing for months on end and I always think the worst.

Taking care of family, even if you love them dearly and don’t see it as a chore, can be exhausting, mentally and physically. You’re a good person to take on all of that responsibility (whether by choice or not), but don’t lose sight of yourself in the process. Make sure you reserve what teeny bit of time you have available to do nice things for yourself. You deserve it!

One can imagine how intense and tough this time has been for you.
I'm glad your son is doing a little better and that your mom's care has brought some results.
Being able to really rest must be very difficult given so heavy responsibilities.
I hope that soon you may find a way to have more time for yourself.
What about explanations? You are right, we friends don't need them. Still, it's always good to hear from you.
