Lindir makes a delightful drunkard: imagine being intoxicated by mallorn flowers! Much better that it was Erestor who found him like this rather than Tallath, though returning him to his brothers' lodging may prove "rather complicated." I'm sorry that we're unlikely to see a scene with Haldir accepting his brother's truffle (slightly squashed as it is), as Orophin is equally endearing.
I am laughing over your comment. Haldir does get a truffle in a scene later.
And, of course, elves don't really get drunk. Who knows? Maybe the mellyrn have special powers in their flowers *g*
Tallath does have a way of making everything more complicated. Joy-sucker :|
Your comment makes me realize I need a couple more inserts for Orophin. Thanks. And for liking him :D
[By the by, here'a a story that blew me away for various reasons. Quiet, intimate but deeply intense; an elegant story. You might like it. 'Patience, A Steady Hand' by Helenish on ArchiveOfOurOwn. Google brings up the link.
Riddle-Master's Game by McKillip, if you know the novel? has Astrid in it whom I was drawn to. Arthur in Helenish's fic reminds me of him.]
The scene where Erestor rescues Lindir from the drunks was very funny. I wonder if Lindir will wake up mortified at the previous night's events, or if he will be brazen and make more advances to Erestor.
Loved it :) This left me with a lovely picture in my mind of happy elves falling off branches like waxwings that have overindulged on rowanberries. A very humorous combination with the serious prince, although he seems to be used to it. I'm happy to see how popular Erestor is :)

Lindir is a bit at sea with all that drinking. He does blush a bit when he remembers things, especially Amroth being there...
(And I'm longing to see the poor thing get a chance to advance on anyone at this stage. Can't be too far off now.)

I think Orophin is a regular feature in Amroth's life *g* (and I'm looking forward to you seeing Amdir!)
They were a bit nuts on Erestor - he's got a bit of a reputation, I'm afraid.
