I think that your life has whatever meaning you give it. Your life is whatever you think it is. So if you feel that pursuing something other than procreation gives your life the meaning you want it to have, the meaning that feels good to you, then that's what you should do. If your focus is basic animal instinct, and that's what feels good, then there you go, that's your answer. It's all up to you :).

I feel that finding a substantial mate and a substantial source of food and water and shelter would be a fine thing to base your life around if you lived on some remote island that had never been introduced to technological or intellectual evolution. my feeling is that, because we've made the necessities so accessible, we crave more. we've introduced the idea of infinity into our lives- infinite thoughts, knowledge, anything. and we can't help but be drawn in by it. the self-reflective nature that humans have developed brings us to a point where we can glimpse something bigger and more significant than survival. i think that it's as natural as it is for us to make our lives complex as it is for other animals to strive for the easiest route. we started with that, but succeeded to the point of boredom. now we want our infinite beauty.

another note: i love you. i think that your attitude on your abandonment issues are incredibly well perceived, considering the fact that your the one in the middle of them. i'm really amazed at that, and a little jealous to be honest. all in all, this message is more about the "i love you" than my opinions on your opinions on yourself...

well carOline has a great point first off,totally not pulling out or her ass. more so out of the infinite reaches of her mind and the collective consciousness of the world. I must say I don't believe we are being backed up by gods or spirits but that we are those gods or spirits backing each other up and leading our own lives from an infinite observers view known some times as the subconscious or mind,spirit,soul,thaten,or whatever. if you learn to listen to and follow it everything falls in to place as it should but if you are ignorant of it you get lost in your head thinking you aren't in control of what happens in your mind, and you most definitely are. ask your self where your thoughts are created, where they come from. you! you're subconscious spirit
