P.S. It is quite lovely having my laptop back, and so far its working well. Now to restart it several times and run a few programs at once to see how it handles. Want to know what happened? Well, every single piece of internal hardware

I am forever thankful for Applecare, and it totally was! Crazy how everything went pretty much a month before the three years was up. Don't suppose you've been seeing some ibook G4 laptops (15") coming in en mass?

The hard-drive went, was replaced, then the new drive kept clicking and making all the motions that it was burning out, so that was replaced. Along with the logic board and some sort of tape that I don't remember the name of. Then the wireless card and the logic board weren't talking, so the wireless card was replaced, and then the logic board was, and then they figured it out by doing a data backup and OS reinstall, it got the wireless card to turn on.

It was funny they did a data backup as there was nothing on the machine! But yes, 3 weeks wait was wroth it, as was the initial Applecare cost. My car payments are up in December, so in January I'm looking at buying the 24" imac desktop. Have any thoughts or opinions??

My computer is such a mishmash of original and new pieces. It is also falling the F apart! Every time I show my studio professor something on my computer he says "wow.. your screen is SO messed up" hahaha
