Awesome story! I especially love how Zuko ended up following Gaang around at the end. Are you going to continue this? You definitely should! I really want to see how they react to finding out that he's the prince of the Fire Nation!

As of right now, this is a completed one-shot. I'm happy with where the story ended, and taking it farther would probably change the feel. But a sequel is not completely out of the question.

GOOD STUFF!

I'd really like to see a sequel to this as well. Nothing complicated, just a sum up of events through the end of the war.

I like how you kept Zuko so Zuko, even though his circumstances are different. It's like we got a fast track pass to the part where his character develops in the series.

One of the reasons I'm not sure if I'll write a sequel is because I don't see this version of the war ending completely canonically.

The biggest thing I was worried about with this piece was characterization, so I'm glad I got it right. &hearts

From what I've read, Zuko is one of your best characters. He comes across really well.

I think I write Zuko well because I can channel my inner high school emotard. It's like a superpower but, you know, useless.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I felt a little bad leaving Uncle out (for the most part), but I figure that he wasn't as big a part of Zuko's life in this story. (He was away at war for at least two years before Zuko and Ursa ran away. When he was at the palace, he was probably occupied with Lu Ten.)
