Ah, I'm so proud of you! Learning how to play the guitar is one of the best decisions I've made in life. It can be a good outlet, and what is more... if you become brave enough, you can write your oun songs and put a little of yourself onto a CD or something. You never know what treasures you'll produce. And fear not... I didn't start playing seriously until I was in college and... I never took lessons. So, it's very possible to just read a book or two and nurse the callouses for a while, hehe! Good on ya!

oh ho ho. I can relate a bit. I made a trip to the 'guitar center' in fort wayne to buy a few strings for the fender stratocaster that has been neglected for the 13 years of it's existence in the closet. It's terribly humiliating to fess up to not knowing a bit about something you'd love to have a passion for.

oh, thanks. That's very reassuring. I was wondering if I was at a great disadvantage because of not learning to play at 6 months of age. I'd love to play my own songs someday...

Have you recorded any yourself?
