Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Bass is short, probably only about five foot two-ish. He's built to resemble a human in most ways, with synthetic skin and muscle so it's not completely obvious that he's a metal man right off the bat unless he's wearing his armor. He's heavy as hell, being...made of metal and all.
2. How old is he? Technically only a few years old, but he'd probably be placed anywhere from early to mid-teens.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
Bass changes his posture to fit his mood. If he's feeling proud -most of the time- he walks with his spine straight and his shoulders back, perfect posture. If he's sulking, he'll slouch.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Bioroid. :|
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
It depends; he moves like everything he does is precalculated, very machine-like. All his movements are executed as a chain of commands, unlike the human brain in that he can't move before his head tells him to do so. Since he can process things impossibly fast it seems as if he can move on instinct, but he can't.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
I guess it depends on how you look at it? Wily built his main arsenal -Bass, Zero, and Protoman with Dr. Light- to be attractive purely out of vanity. All his other lackeys, the Robot Masters, are weird and quirky, but those three resemble humans. If someone told Bass they found him attractive he'd probably snort. He knows he is, but not in a vain sort of way. More in a resigned "yeah I was built like this, whoop-de-fucking-doo" sort of way.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Average. He's got two purple streaks that go from beneath his eyes all the way down to his jaw.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
Pale purple/lavender, almost white in bright light. Normal just...wherever it flops. It doesn't grow, so it's been that way since he was built. It probably feels like normal hair, but if it's wet it's probably obvious that it's synthetic.
9. What color are his eyes?
Red.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
His face streaks, and he's got fangs-ish. More for intimidation purpose than anything.
11. What are his chief tension centers?
Don't got none, is robot.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
Now that Bass is actually wearing clothes as opposed to being in armor all the time, he mostly just wears T-shirts and jeans. He's not picky.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
They're fine.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
Armor. :| Doofy-looking armor, though I doubt he'd wear it again now.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Commando, he's a robot. D|
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Well, the voices "provided" for him are all shittastic dubbing or a single sentence in a Japanese commercial for a GBA game, so I usually end up putting his voice to the likes of Unwritten Law's lead singer
Scott Russo. Kind of scratchy-ish, really rough and growly when he yells or is angry.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
Depends. When he wants to be creepy or when he's angry, he hisses. Usually he'll just speak bluntly, but he almost never hesitates.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
He curses. That's about it.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
English, German, completely fluent. If he can find a download packet for anything in a language he can process he'll speak that fluently as well, but since that's...highly improbable, just those two.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
He'll switch to German if he's talking to German people, occasionally he'll use German when he's very angry. He doesn't as much anymore though.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
Bass always thinks about his words, but he thinks about them lightning fast so it doesn't seem like he does.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
He can be either. If he wants to be a pain, he'll be inarticulate. If his sole goal is to provide information, he'll be straightfoward and blunt, using the terms required. He never speaks with a lot of bells and whistles though, poetic and shit. Never. Considers it a waste of time.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
Well, he's a robot. He's only as intelligent as he's programmed to be; he can assimilate information and never forgets, and he might come off as intelligent to other people but really he's extremely naive.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
Yeah, he doesn't? He can't, really. He takes all the information present, runs it though hundreds of different scenario generators before deciding on a course of action. He does this at an astounding rate, but that's to make up for the fact that a computer brain can't work like a human brain.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
...both? He's logical in that he's a computer and follows a pre-set standard thinking process, but he's a bioroid and was made as a copy of Megaman, so technically he has the ability to change his behavior as he sees fit. He just...hasn't figured out how yet.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
None.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
His areas of expertise is breaking things. :| He knows a lot of martial arts -downloading them, though he rarely employs their use- and just generally excells in wreaking havoc. He's got no interest in learning anything. None that he's aware of, at least.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
...actually, it depends. He's whatever he feels like being at the time; it hinges on his mood, mostly.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Oh God, Bass has incredible mood swings. He's also usually at a steady simmer, and is mean-spirited by nature.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
He's always suspicious and always hateful. He'll naturally trust a human quicker than he would anything else, but that's been shaken up recently so he's still really slow to trust anybody.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
Bass will act, react and everything in between. He's extremely energetic.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Fight. Bass doesn't run unless he's ordered, he's bored or that was his goal to begin with.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
Bass doesn't really laugh at jokes. He'll find humor in sick situations and other people's pain, though.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
...probably quite a few? But since he's a machine I'm not so sure they can be considered disorders. It's how he was programmed/built.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
- His creation. He wakes up, his creator is over him and tells him his purpose. Obviously that's going to define anybody.
- Treble/Gospel's creation. His dog is the only thing in the world Bass loves. While he bullies him sometimes, Treble is his partner and Bass trusts him and treats him with care. If anything were to happen to Treble, Bass would show grief for the first time in his life.
- His first success. Right after his creation, Bass successfully fools Megaman, Light and breaks into the lab, wreaks havoc -does not kill Dr. Light- and steals the plans for the Rush adaptation. This probably really puffs Bass up, since Wily's been pretty shitty at his tasks before and Bass is the first to truly succeed. Proof that he's the best.
- All of his subsequent failures after that. Bass doesn't experience a single lick of success until Megaman and Bass. After being told he was created to be the best, he keeps failing and failing. It's very damaging, especially to a being that is under the impression that he can't adapt simply because he's not capable of it. He should be the best. Why isn't he?
- Living with Wily in general. Bass was created to be Megaman's counterpart. Assuming the programming is also similar, Megaman is something a bit beyond a simple machine. He's capable of choosing right or wrong and Dr. Light treats him more like a son; Megaman himself chose to fight to defend mankind from Dr. Wily. Bass, on the other hand, had no such luxury. He was activated and expected to fight. Dr. Wily is also a cruel, twisted and selfish individual, so Bass is probably treated as an object and has come to view himself as such. He has an amazing ego and sneers at both Dr. Wily and his other creations, but still had yet to leave him for something better. That shows some kind of loyalty, despite the fact that Dr. Wily at the very least emotionally abused him and refused to give him the care and attention he might have needed to develop a decent personality. Bass himself states later that he has some respect for humans, since they were the species that created robots. So on some level he had to respect Wily. Which leads to...
- Wily's betrayal. Throughout Megaman and Bass, Bass has a sort of tentative pseudo-alliance with Megaman and his crew. Mostly just using them to make him things, but they oblige because for once Bass isn't trying to tear them apart. Wily feigns not being involved the entire time. When Bass gets to King -the conspirator of it all- King asks Bass why he'd fight for the sake of humans. Bass tells him that humans were the ones who created robots, implying they deserved to be protected. But then he finds out that King is Wily's creation.
Wily then orders King to kill Bass.
Right after Bass sticks up for the human race, his own creator tells King to kill him. When King refuses, Wily tries to force him to. Bass overpowers him, and King tells Bass to get out while he still can. Bass -in a rare display of humanity- asks King if he'll be all right. King shoos him off and Bass heads over to Wily's fortress to kick some ass. Bass beats him and all his stupid minions and Wily feeds him some bullshit story about testing his capabilities, then changes the subject and tells Bass that if he merges with his new creation King II that he'll be the most powerful robot ever. Protoman shows up and destroys the plans and Wily orders Bass to kill Protoman. Bass tells Wily to suck a cock. Protoman goes into lecture mode and is like "hey Bass you'll never beat Megaman because you've got nothing to fight for." Bass tells Protoman that he can suck a cock too and basically flips the entire world the bird and resolves himself to kill Megaman for his own sake.
14. What does he fear?
He'd say nothing, but Bass fears being rendered obsolete.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
To kill Megaman. He's got nothing after that.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
That Wily's betrayal actually hurt. He doesn't like admitting that he'd actually trusted Wily, and he likes admitting even less that Wily trying to kill him really damaged something precious.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
Well, Wily's his creator. Bass has always thought of him as an incompetent moron -because he is- but respected him as his creator and stuck by him even when he failed time and time again and Wily berated him and treated him like property. Now, of course, Bass hates his guts. ...though probably deep down he's upset and confused and sad and wishes he knew what exactly he did wrong to make Wily want to end him.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Bass hates all the other robot masters because they're wastes of space and garbage. ...and they are.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
Bass' relationship with Protoman is...strange. He'd probably clock him if he got the chance, but it's not the full-blown hatred he has for Megaman.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
Treble. His one and only true friend. Bass would die for Treble.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
:|
6. Does he have other close friends?
HA no.

Oh for the love of Christ.
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
Treble, then himself. That's it.

Yeah no.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
Nasty human practice full of fluids and gross.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
-_-
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (
zodiac of
choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
Sure don't. :|
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
Bass doesn't believe in anything like religion or souls ("ghosts" for machines, I suppose) or anything like that. He thinks the idea of a God or gods is a load of shit, karma does not exist and people are born to consume the planet's resources, make spawn and then die. When they die they turn into mushy organic compost. The end.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
He doesn't like killing living things, especially humans. He doesn't mind hurting living things to get what he wants or to satisfy something, but he won't hurt humans if he can help it. Just won't.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
He's not tolerant in the least. He'll openly mock anybody. ...then again, sometimes he'll take another side just to play the devil's advocate and start an argument.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
He hates robots. He hates them because they're tools and all inferior to his might.

1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
N/A
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
Terrorist. :|
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
As of now, he lives on the boat. Before he lived at Wily's base, wherever that happened to be.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
He doesn't.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
Well, he used to follow orders. Now he wanders around listlessly searching for a purpose (since Megaman isn't present to destroy).
