im learning ASL. which is a beautiful language. so expressive and creative. but i would never ever be ok with being deaf. i guess if that's how ur born you dont know any better and it's not a problem. but i would never not want to be able to listen to music, rain, the voices of the ones you love. but there's one thing i wont miss, the house phone

Try a new hobby. Take pictures, go read a book in a park, bake something! (You would be surprised how fun a glass of wine and a cookbook can be!) I bake (and cook) all the time and it has very recently become the favorite part of my day!
