A bit of news here for Doctor Who fans --
106 lost Doctor Who episodes featuring the first two Doctors have been discovered in Ethiopia. For real. Who'd have thought it?
Maybe if they look a little more they'll find a complete copy of
London After Midnight, too.

And really -- 106 episodes, from just the first two doctors? I thought the first two Doctors had only a season's worth (in American TV-terms; figure about 26 hour-long individual episodes) of episodes each. The sheer number was a surprise to me!

So this isn't even half of the missing episodes.
Each episode, though, is about 20 minutes.

Season 1:
episodes (5 and 6) of The Reign of Terror are missing.
all seven episodes of Marco Polo are missing
Season 2: only two episodes (2 and 4) of The Crusade are missing.
Season 3 is where we start losing a lot of episodes: (28 total)
