I honestly have trouble imagining. I grew up in the '70s, of course, so I should have some idea, but there are certain activities that I've never done without the Internet for which the Internet seems indispensable. Job hunting, for example. Presumably mathematicians looked for employment before the Internet, but for the life of me I can't imagine how that worked.
