No, I haven't seen it but I'll probably pick up the book tomorrow. I have issues though with the children actors in the film. The film has grossed $175,115,223 so far according to Wikipedia (take that for what it's worth). This also according to Wiki,

The director, Danny Boyle, bought the child actors new houses and put them into trust funds to be released to the children's ownership when they turn 18, to ensure that the houses aren't immediately sold.

Then why did the government put them up in free houses supplied by the government?
