Dude, not read the books, but loved this fic? I think it's safe to say, if you love this fic, you will enjoy the books. Obviously, if you're an Eric fan, the advantage to the fic is it's only the Eric parts, plus bonus behind the scenes. But the overall tone is pretty much matched perfectly to the series, and you're missing out on everything else going on in Sookie's life.
But then, that's me. I love the books, and can't pass up an opportunity to pimp them.
Thank you for reccing all this wonderful 'old' stuff! I'm a noob to TB & SVM fic, and my tentative forrays almost had me convinced not to look anymore. (I meant to comment on an earlier rec post, only I've been kind of busy reading...)
Thrilled to hear it! About being new and happy to be pointed to the old stuff. It is always a debate about whether or not I should point to something already very popular, but older. I don't want to waste everyone's time with old news, but I also don't want to overlook these really great stories, in case people have missed them.
I hear you on the forays. *Looks left, looks right.* Sometimes I feel sorry for Eric and how many Mary Sue's he's having to romance in the fic world.
