Internal conflict - too much fail and not enough win

Much as I tend to be a gregarious individual, I find that lately I have very little to talk about and even less patience for socialising than I expected... this is a problem for me ( Read more... )

introspection, overreaction, angst, weakness, dazed rambling, woes, frustration, flail, fail, ericfail, extra grumpiness

I know how you feel, having completely failed to get anyone to come to my flat since I moved in. Part of you wonders if you should take it personally, or if the effort you put into planning was worth it. But the next time you see people you realise everything's okay. Everyone's thrilled to see you and you all still get on really well. Logic might not seem like enough right now, but it all comes out in the wash in the end. :) And hey, there's always July to look forward to.

As for the planning, the few people who did turn up make that worthwhile. It was great to see you again, and you have to admit getting dressed up and jumping around in our silly costumes was a right laugh. And don't forget to exchange that book!

huggles. I hear ya. Similar happens to me, like all the flipping time. My mom does it too - blaming ourselves for all sorts of little things. Bah! It was Not My Fault that the workmen next door were noisy buggers all thru sunday.

Just hold on, as Psyfira said, it all comes out in the wash. As long as you know, rationally, that your emotional-level worries aren't true, things will be okay with the help and support of loved ones.

Be well.

I occasionally get a bit paranoid that people are deliberately excluding me. But it is usually because when I get a little depressed I get very introverted and stop doing stuff with people, which means they stop inviting me to things. I find it takes a lot of effort to get back into things.

Ah well enough of my fail - hugs and I hope you had a good birthday, it certainly looked fun from the photos ;-)
