Disclaimer: Nothing belongs to me blah blah blah....just the storyline!!!!!
Callie knew she looked devastated but it was time to tell her family what happened exactly. As she came down the stairs her father engulfed her in a bone-crushing hug. “Don’t ever do that to me again sweetheart, I can’t bear the thought that you’re unhappy.” He let go of her and looked her in the eye, “My sweet little girl…no matter what we can do something about it.”
She looked over her fathers shoulder and saw her mother in tears, in her brother arms and went over to them. “Hey Raul, long time no see,” her brother let go of her mother and took Callie in his arms. “Don’t ever scare us like that again,” he whispered in her ear.
As she let go of him she said, “I think there are a few things I should tell you.” Christina got up from the couch, “ I think I should let you alone for a few minutes.” Callie hugged her and whispered to her, “Thank you for everything.” “Yeah whatever, what are non-friends for,” Christina meant with a sincere smirk.
”Thank you Dr. Yang, we appreciate your help.” “No problem Mrs Torres.” “You can go to the kitchen if you want, Maria would be normally there she can give you something to eat and show you to your room later.” Christina smiled a thankful smile and went down the long hallway in search of the kitchen.
”I think we all should sit down because there are a lot of things to talk about,” Callie sighed as she sat herself on the far end of the couch and drew her knees up.
After everyone was seated she stared, “There were things I’ve done I’m not proud of. The last time I talked with you, Erica and I decided that we try it, together. We were good together, actually we were great together,” Callie smiled at that thought, “But it ended bad because I’ve done some horrible things to her.”
”What could have been so horrible Callie that she left everything behind?”, Mr Torres asked with a concerned voice.
”I cheated on her,” heavy silence was in the room and her parents stared disbelievingly at her, “I’ve done the one thing that totally destroyed me, and I’ve done it to her.”
”Callie, how…” “I know mom, there is no excuse. I told her and she had said ok.” She said “Just ok,” Callie whispered with a shrug. The tears were running down her cheeks, “The day she left she told me that she didn’t know me.”
Callie looked up at her mother, she had a sympathetic expression on her face, “But the truth is, she knows me. She knows me better then anyone ever had, even better than I know myself. But the worst thing is I was too scared to call her or to run after her. I didn’t stop her and walked out of my life.” Mr. Torres came over to her and gathered her in his arms.
”I’m so sorry, so very sorry.” “God dad I love her so much.” “I know sweetheart, I know. But you can find her again, and tell her how you feel.” “How dad? She vanished, no one knows where she is. How can I start looking for her when I don’t know where to begin?”
Her mother came over and took Callies hands, “There is always a way, your father knows a few. I’m sure we’ll find her.”
”Yeah, and I can phone a few people in Europe, maybe they have heard anything. I promise you Callie we do everything we can.” “Thanks Raul, but what should I say to her when I find her.”
”You tell that Erica Hahn of yours, that you love her more than anything else and that you would come after her this time no matter where she’s going this time. Because you are devastated without her and everything with her,” Mrs Torres smiled at her daughter and put a lose strand of hair behind her daughters ear.
”I think we should get started then, what do you think Callie,” her father smirked at her, “it would be ridiculous when we don’t find her.” Mr Torres got up from the couch and went to his study to make a few phone calls.
”So while we’re waiting that your father pulls a few strings, tell me about her,” her mother asked lovingly.
”She is…,” Callie was searching for the right words to describe Erica, “She is beautiful, she has long blond curly hair and the bluest eyes you can imagine and her smile is so energetic that I loved it the first time that I’ve seen it, and you would try everything to bring that smile back on her face again.”
Callies mom hadn’t heard her daughter talk about someone else like that before. Who ever Erica Hahn was, she seems like the true love for her daughter and she hoped dearly that there would be a happy ending for them.
