„Don’t be so nervous Callie, Susan told you to come, that she’ll arrange a meeting.” Callie was fidgeting in the back of the car while her father and mother were in the front.

”What if she throws me out, what if she won’t listen or does not care?” “Stop worrying about things you don’t know yet,” her father said in a stern voice, “We’re here now try to take a few deep breaths. And do me a favor darlin’ and sit still just these last minutes. Ok?”

Callie looked out of the window and saw the estate, what Erica’s new home was drew nearer. Just a few minutes and I’ll see her again, god please let her be ok and let her listen, please I don’t know what I do if she sends me away, Callie pleaded and closed her eyes to calm herself for the oncoming conversation.

”Callie? Come on now where her,” Mr. Torres got out of the car and opened Callie’s car door.

A calm and friendly looking woman was standing at the entrance, came down to them to greet them and hold out her hand to greet the Torres family. As it was Callie’s turn to shake hands Susan said, “I assume you’re Callie Torres, Maria told me to be expecting a disheartened woman but you’re looking more destroyed than I’ve expected.” Callie and her parents looked a little shocked. “I’m sorry, I’m speaking my mind too often. But I’ve seen Dr. Hahn, and she is ….well….let’s just say she wasn’t herself these past weeks.”

”How … how is she? I mean does she know that I’m here, that I want to talk to her?” “No, not right now. She will know soon enough.” Susan looked at Callie with worry in her eyes, “You must understand that I was there as her parents separated, as her mother died and then as her grandmother passed away. After all this she wasn’t the same, she cut herself off from everything; from the McGillian family name, from this estate and from feelings that could hurt her again. I haven’t expected to see her like this, never expected her to be so emotional. But now that I see you it makes sense because you look the same. I don’t know if this is a good thing to do, to let you in. But I want to know that she is happy again, and I’m certain that you’re the one to make her happy. Even if this will be hard at the beginning I’m begging you to try and fix her heart.”

”I don’t even know if she’ll listen, but how much could I loose now. I’ve lost my heart and she found it, I crushed everything she gave me with what I’ve done but still she carries my heart with her,” Callie said near tears.

”Come in please,” they entered the house through the heavy oak doors and came into the entrance hall. The Torres family was impressed about the old furnishings in harmony with the modern one. “Mr. and Mrs. Torres would you come with me please I’ll bring you to the saloon where you can wait. Ms Torres please wait here, I’ll come back in a minute and then bring you to Dr. Hahn.”

Susan and Callie’s parents walked off and Callie stood alone in the big entrance hall. She felt lost and got nervous. She looked down at her hands and saw that they were shaking, she clasped them together and took a few deep breaths to steady her nerves.

”Come with me please,” Callie nearly jumped out of her skin as Susan suddenly appeared beside her and laid her left hand on her chest to steady her racing heart, “I’m sorry if I’ve scared you. Come now please, I’ll bring you up to the master bedroom now.”

”Wait a moment. Why to the master bedroom isn’t there another saloon or something else in this estate where I can meet her?” “Sure there are a lot of other rooms but she rarely leaves her bedroom so I think it would be better you discuss what you want there but first and foremost she can’t or better will not hide anywhere else. Her bedroom is her sanctuary, remember that but don't let yourself get thrown out. And don’t run she can be scary sometimes.”

The two of them went up the wide old looking staircase and went down a hallway and Callie noticed that it was as well decorated as the entrance hall. They stopped in front of a double door and Susan knocked carefully. They waited but no sound came out, “Dr. Hahn? You have a visitor can I send him in?” Still no sound.

”I think I will take it from here, thank you Susan,” Callie whispered towards the other woman and sent her a thankful smile. Susan nodded with a smile and went back down the hallway. Callie looked after her and took a deep breath. She let her hand rest on the heavy looking door-handle and opened it with ease.
