...although they'd have to know they wouldn't have the coach suspended or lose more than one draft pick. Even a first-round pick is a small price to pay when you can find a Tom Brady in the 6th, and $750K is chump change at that level...

I'm not sure this was the plan all along, but damned if it's not an excellent by-product. And if it *was* the plan all along, then Belichek needs to get out of the football business and take over the war...
