Balance

My maxim in life over these past few years has been to live a balanced life: a life where you would properly balance all the elements that an individual would need to be an intelligent, and social being. Striving for balance? That's far from mediocrity already.

Who is it you're trying to impress? Who is out there gauging mediocrity or greatness? They're all subjective terms. From your perspective, you might feel that you're decent or merely competent at everything, but I think there are many more that would say you're already living quite a fortunate life.

What is greatness? A thought. An opinion. An annotation in a history book. It can come immediately or 500 years after you die. It changes in the eye of the beholder. It can't be measured.

Greatness, if it really exists, cannot be manufactured, purchased or learned. It will shine naturally.

you are straddling between xanga and livejournal. make a decision! maybe that's the first step to a life of greatness. you can't have your cake and eat it too!!!! =P

if you like something enough you can be great at it. Like me. I like BoA. I am now BoA's greatest fan ever! I look up BoA info 24/7 (like right now when i have 2 finals wednesday). You like history though. You can be the greatest history person ever.
