They always tell you that a sharp knife is safer than a dull one. That's usually true, but not if you drop it and slash your own leg, as I did just now in my office kitchen. It's maybe 3/4" down the mid-shin, and not deep or even painful, but it bled pretty good for a while - I suspect the bloodstained sock I'm now wearing will be readily ( Read more... )

Oh, it was really no big deal at all. It bled kinda fast, but there was no substance to the cut. I should be ashamed for even bringing it up, really, but I do so crave the attention...    :)

1- I hate you for getting that guitar.
2- I did something similar, but with gerber Mk2 fighting knife. I was securing a line while out in the field and went to hold said knife in my teeth. An aluminum skull crusher pommel is not made for this. Knife then fell straight down and stuck in the inside of my thigh. I then watched in slow motion as it went from vertical to horizintal, while still about 1 inch in my leg, before falling to the ground. I was more worried because the edge hit a rock than the inch deep, twisted wound in my leg.

So does a guy in Canada, who had been emailing the shop owner but hadn't yet made up his mind. Fortunately I had stuff to trade, I never could have come up with the cash in time.
