Much as I love my gal Faith, I'd never thought much of her stock bridge pins. They were generic white plastic, and had gotten pretty gnarled over her twenty-five years, so that I was beginning to worry about bridge plate damage due to poor string seating

The nut in question was way too high, and needed to be considerably lower. Make of that what you will...    :)
