Oh, that's so sad! Something similar happened to a friend of mine- her grandmother died and everyone travelled to Savannah for the funeral. On the way back from the funeral, her cousin got into a horrible car accident and died a day later. :-( It was just awful.

In North Carolina a few years back there was a man whose wife, daughter, and mother were going out for a "girls night"...and they all were killed in a single car accident. Things are so tragically strange sometimes.

yeah yeah.. sad and all that... however.... if this person had agreed to do the job for you, why didn't they call you to let you know that they could not do the job? I know that when you make a promise to a customer you want to keep your word regarding when something will happen. I hate it when I have to count on someone else to do work for me, but it is something we have to do in this business. I try to keep a couple of guys on hand in each city "just in case". I think that your supplier did you a dis-service not letting you know that he could not do the job on time. All he had to do was say... "personal problem came up with my family, and I doubt I can get to your job for at least 3 weeks." Plain and simple, at least ya know so you know that you can turn around and either get someone else, or advise the customer what is happening.

Bad news sometimes is better than no news at all eh.

As a not so sad side note, if you need another vendor to do window film, let me know...I've used lots!

Damn, that sucks. Sounds like all the crap that's happened to my dad's business partner. A year ago he was told that he had a year to live. A few monthes ago, his family had a family reunion and 3 family members were killed in that plane crash in north carolina.

Life sucks so much sometimes. I'm glad that most of us still keep in touch and have close enough relationships that we can go awhile without talking and then catch back up.

I love you guys!
