I imagine they thought that their kid would be fine, as he's a radio station employee participating in a station promotion-- after all, if they'd gone through with it and anything went wrong, Q100 would be responsible. So the parents probably figured that Q100 would be taking care of things to make sure everything went smoothly. We aren't talking about handing their kid off to some guy on the street; while I don't think handing their kid off as part of a station promotion is exactly why, I don't think it's really that horrible.

its not the fact that something per say horrible could happen. i thought of the same thing too. its just the pure fact that someone would at the flip of a coin hand off their kid to anyone ( weather be a radio personality or random person ) it still just seems a little ridiculous. i guess i just see it from my perspective, in the sense that i know i am never having kids because i am too selfish to have the responsiblity of one. i would be the parent that would pass their kid off probably too for something. which is why i don't want them. i agree with you, its just a little crazy.
