I was going to comment to say "I don't get it" but I decided to check the referenced site first to see if there was any sort of explanation.

The only real added information is the photo's original caption, "Finally, a photo of girls in prom dresses holding chickens that makes total sense."

Uhm... yeah.

I mean, they're pretty, and while one wouldn't normally think to go out into the woods in a prom dress, it does make for a nice photo in this case.

But, the chickens?
